After over a year of hard work and fundraising, the Sacred Heart University Band was finally able to take their long awaited trip to perform in Ireland.   The first ever international tour for the band consisted of five performances between Dingle and Dublin, Ireland. Full story

Pack the Pitt spreads ‘Pioneer Fever’

Students and family gather to support SHU basketball and show school spirit

  Overflowing with school spirit and unity, Sacred Heart University students "Packed the Pitt" this past Saturday, Jan. 21 at the William H. Pitt Center. Despite the snow, the event was all it promised to be. The Pitt was packed. Upon entering, students were handed either a red cup stuffed  with a mesh Sacred Heart "Pioneer Fever" pinnie, a Pioneer t-shirt, or other giveaways. Full story

From Jan. 11 to 16, students and staff members from Sacred Heart University volunteered in the Bridgeport area for CURTIS Week, an annual initiative that promotes community involvement and cultural understanding.  According to the Sacred Heart website, "CURTIS" stands for "Community Understanding & Reflection Through Inner-city Service.
