Stripping? Yes. Pelvic thrusts? Yes. Great music? Yes. Roller-skating around the stage in a sequined jump suit? Yes. All of these were consistent components of the Mr. SHU 2009 contest. Mr. SHU is Sacred Heart University's version of a male beauty pageant.

Unique band 46ink hit with Sacred Heart students

Interesting instruments and dedication make up this Long Island band

On April 2, Sacred Heart University students crowded into the Outpost to see and hear the up and coming band 46ink. Sponsored by Kappa Kappa Psi, the concert drew older fans and found new ones. 46ink recently formed from the band Burning Down Rome. According to the bands lead singer, Matthew Gelfer, the first band "was representative of our classical roots, and our desire to do something outside of the traditional roles training commonly associated with our instruments.

'17 Again'

This was the response that Ned Freedman gave to Mike O'Donnell in the movie "17 Again" when asked if he wanted to go back and re-live high school. The movie "17 Again" starring Zac Efron and Matthew Perry opened in theaters on April 17.

Bamboozle Band Impresses the Masses

On Friday, May 1 at 5 pm, the doors opened to the first of three days worth of loud music, free candy, and amazing bands at the Bamboozle Festival in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Starting with a show entitled 'Hoodwink,' and ending with a performance by the recently reunited band No Doubt, the festival left many fans smiling.
