South Park the dramatic and caricature based cartoon has now passed its
10th anniversary of being aired on Comedy Central and is one of the most
controversial and jaw dropping comedies.

Created by two cartoonists from Columbine, Colorado, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the show models itself after a small mountain town populated by a formidable cast of characters that are all racially ignorant, hasty, and extremely crude. Episodes contain many political, religious and societal
undertones, mixed in with the harshness of stereotypical comedy in its most raw form.

"I like the shows brashness and how it takes situational
societal events and turns them into a comic satire. It used to be very low key not using any real storylines about politics or religion but now it is much more mainstream," said Fidel Santiago, junior, New York City, N.Y.

"I don't think that its really developed at all the show has always been portraying controversial subjects as idiotically as possible. I don¹t find it entertaining if I want to laugh I can watch many other shows that don't include little cartoons swearing, calling each other names, or killing each other," said Laura Cascio, junior, Topsfield, Mass.

In the most recent episode the shows premise was based on the video game
"MMORPG World of Warcraft." The boys in the show begin having an addiction to this multiplayer 1st person shooter video game. The game suddenly takes a hold of them, and they beginning to "train" in order to become better.
They are playing 21 hours a day, in hopes of amassing their strength in order to defeat the renegade player that has taken over the game and kills every player in its tracks. This episode has an interesting cartoon half animation and half video game computer graphics. The spoof makes fun of
video game nerds and how young children have become obsessed with electronic games.
